Independence Day: A Tribute To Our Heroes

The Philippine Independence Day (Araw ng Kasarinlan), also known as “Araw ng Kalayaan”, (“Day of Freedom”). This is an annual national day in the Phillippines observed on June 12, commemorating the declaration of Philippine Independence from Spain in 1898. On June 5, 1898, Emilio Aguinaldo issued a decree at his house located in what was then known as Cavite El Viejo proclaiming June 12, 1898 as the day of independence. The Philippines was occupied by the Spaniards and got in control to it’s territory and Filipinos became slaves. But, due to the perseverance of the so called “warriors of the land” who wants to gain and free their land from the invaders, they fought for their freedom. Freedom in the sense that, even into the extend to risk their lives just to free themselves from the claws of the eagles. ...
