"Vision Of A Shining Star"

                 

                Every human being have their own instinct or what we call “characteristics” which would describe their own behavior. A behavior or sometimes they called it attitude towards something that would be a reflection of their own personality. But some other aspects they pretend it to be a hereditary or inborn attitude or taken from a character or depicting somebody’s behavior. Just like for example, you are doing the things or behavior of an individual who is in the limelight of it’s career. An artist, a painter, a politician, a vlogger or a tiktoker. But it is really in the individual character to show who really she/he is in the eyes of everyone. Before anything else, let me introduce myself, I'm Sharinel Legaspi Bumanglag, I just turned 15 years old last January 30, 2021, I live in Cuta, Vigan City, Ilocos Sur and I'm currently studying at Ilocos Sur National High School in 10^th Grade and this is simply me.

                For me as an individual that “best describes me”, is that I consider myself as an ambitious and driven, passionate about my work, highly organized and most of all a result oriented person and God fearing. I'm very thankful to God, because he gave me life to live in this world, to experience how to become a better person, to face some challenges, to know how to correct my mistakes that I do, and to do my important mission in this world. Also, I thank God that he gave me parents who are very supportive, who taught me moral and good lessons, and who protects me always. I am the proud and only child of Mr. & Mrs. Eleunilo and Cherryl Bumanglag. For me I'm such a gifted individual, because God gave me these personalities; smart, kind, thoughtful, patient, and very creative mind. My interests in life are drawing, sketching, coloring, crafts, baking, reading, singing, dancing, and most of all I really love painting. I'm also good in memorizing and performing poems and declamations, memorizing verses from the Bible and doing household chores. I'm just a simple person, my birthstone is Garnet, my zodiac sign is Aquarius, and my favorite color is violet. Another thing is that, I studied Kindergarten in Calvary Baptist Academy where I learned how to memorized verses from the Bible, how to read and pronounced the words correctly and how to write neatly. But then, my parents decided to transfer me to Vigan Central School for Grades 1-4, because my school before was too far to travel from my residence which is in Brgy. IX, Cuta, Vigan City to my school in Ayusan Norte, Vigan City, Ilocos Sur. But, my new school where my parents transferred me to; was more easier to travel and nearer to us, because it is just in the same location where I lived and I can go to school without any transportation needed, because I can just simply walk. After all of that, my parents wanted to transfer me again to my old school for Grades 5-6. So, that me and my cousin will study there together. In my early childhood education, I am really interested in joining several kinds of competition. So, when I was in Kindergarten, I joined two kinds of Poem Competition in my School, Calvary Baptist Academy and I won as the 1^st place and 2^nd place. In 4^th Grade, I won 2^nd place in Poster Slogan Making Contest in my School, Vigan Central School and I also joined Journalism in Sports Writing Contest. In 6^th Grade, I started to represent my School Calvary Baptist Academy to joined different kinds of competition like Nutrition Month Poster Making Contest (2^nd place), Christmas Card Making Contest (2^nd place), and Declamation Contest (1^st place). Also, in my 6^th Grade, I am the representative of my school and I received an award of State of the Children Report "Bright Child Award" and Junior Chamber International Philippines "JCI Award". In 7^th Grade, I am the representative in my section to joined a Nutrition Month Fruit Carving Contest and I won 1^st place in my School, Ilocos Sur National High School. But then, I started to stop joining a contest, because I don't want to skip my classes. I am a consistent honor student and my ambition is to become a registered Civil Engineer someday. By the way at the present, all over the world we are suffering a problem and that is the Coronavirus or Covid-19 Pandemic. In this case; we really need to take care of ourselves, eat healthy foods, follow all the protocols, help each other to solve this problem so, that the coronavirus will be gone, and always pray to God. Some people died, some people can recovered from this virus, and some people can have an anxiety or depression; based on this problem right now. From this problem that is happening, we learned a lot of lessons on how to help other people, to be kind, and to have peace to each and everyone of us. I think God gave this problem to us so, that we can learned from our mistakes and how to solve this problem. At this moment, we are suffering from pandemic, which is very hard to study, because the format is online distance learning. I can study by facing on a devices like laptop or smartphones, which are the gadgets that I'm using. But then, there are so many disadvantages of using gadgets like it can cause headache and others, that I usually experienced it before. Sometimes, I feel stressed, because while I am studying there are so many distractions and sometimes I can't understand the lessons without the explanation; but I'm still fighting to face this challenges in my life. But in doing a self-studying, I also learned new things from that. I also experienced that this kind of learning is very hard, because the signal of the internet connection; sometimes the signal is weak, sometimes the signal is good, and sometimes there is no current. What I just need to do is to be patient, because I believe in the quote that "Patience is a virtue", is a short phrase that means "waiting calmly is a good trait". This proverbial phrase reminds the listener or reader about the societal and moral value of waiting to get what they want until a more convenient time. I want to encourages everyone that you need to study hard, believe in yourself, dream big, believe in God that he is always there for you to guide you in whatever decisions that you do, he is the one who direct us from the right path, and also he is the one who protects us. I just wanted to share that in reading a Bible, based from my experienced that when I feel stressed because of this pandemic; it helps me to lessen my stress and I learned a lot all about the words from God and also, I can use this in my everyday lives. That's why from this composition that I wrote, I entitled it "Vision Of A Shining Star", because this is the title that really describes who am I and I wanted to aim the highest achievements in life so, that someday "I'll shine bright like the stars".

                These characteristics that I enumerated are the things which I possessed in order for me to become a creative individual ready and have the ability to face the challenges that life may bring. Again, this is Sharinel L. Bumanglag and I hope you learned many things about me.
