“Philippines Resiliency Action Against COVID-19 Pandemic”

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought upon the world with challenges. Almost all countries had to shut down their economies to halt the spread of the virus and the Philippines is one of those countries who have taken strict measures by implementing the Enhanced Community Quarantine, last March 15, 2020.

The lockdown did help in controlling the spread of the virus and apparently, the Philippines is already flattening the curve. The number of cases reported in the country is no longer growing at an exponential rate. However, flattening the curve does not necessary mean that the Philippines are winning the its battle against the pandemic. There are other measures to consider to ultimately say that the country is winning the battle. Because, there are some other areas to consider to know if the country is really winning the battle against COVID-19. Such as controlling the number of deaths, having frequent information dissemination, improving hygiene and sanitation, and conducting massive and optimize testing and also includes COVID-19 vaccination.

Government protocols especially on the implementation of rules, health protocols in order to minimize the spread of the virus in which really affects the economy of our country and not just hanging out there with political issues. The government should focus not just on the political issues, but more important to this pandemic, they must also improve their data gatherings on “how” and “what” to do, for our country to recover the economy. The things also on how resilient our country to overcome this such pandemic that really made great impact on our economy, education, businesses, and all other things that really affects the lives of everyone; not just in our country but all around the world.

  1. Hey there! I have to agree that this COVID-19 pandemic is one of the biggest and the hardest challenge every country has faced yet. The lockdowns that are happening in our country has indeed been helping to lower the cases. Following the health protocols is necessary also to help the spread of the virus although we must agree that a lot of people do not obey these rules or protocols. I think in being a more resilient country, we should all work together and don't be against each other to help evolve and develop our country and of course to help lower the cases of COVID-19 in our country too.
