“The Role of Mining in Economic Development and It's Impact to the Environment”

                    As we all know that we are aware of the things that would preserve our environment from it’s destruction due to some sort of activities. Just like drilling or mining, to all this is such kind of destructive activity in which, it will destroy or endanger our environment. Environmentalist scientists, and even an ordinary individual wants to protect our environment. Mining and drilling industries are to blame for some negative impact on our environment. But we must be aware that mining have some benefits to us, and to the whole world. Mining industry provide jobs, raw materials, minerals and metals which give improvement to our economy. They provide to help our technology improve just like the platinum which is a product of mining, used in TV, computer, hybrid cars and life-saving medical devices. Mining is very useful in Advanced Energy Technologies which rely on minerals. Just like copper which are used in wiring solar panels, batteries and also a major part in the components of wind turbines.                                                                                                                                                         

                    Mining can help to improve our lives, but there are also disadvantages to us and to our environment. It destroys the habitat of species, deforestation of mountains, greater possibility of soil erosion, ground water pollution and ecological imbalance of our environment.                                            

                    Thus, in conclusion for me as a student, mining should not be overlooked, because in some aspect it will give development to our economy and to our technology and save lives. Impacts that endanger our environment are already given such plan and mitigating measures to ensure the safeness and conservation of our environment. Plans and programs of the government like reforestation, clean and green, watershed management and other measures for us to preserved or reconnaissance of the damages that incurred by mining.
