New Year: New Normal, New Hope and Goals for a Better Future

               In this world amidst COVID-19 celebration of New Year is new to all of us, because for the past years we had celebrated New Year’s eve without any hindrances or problems that encountered. This year 2021, the pandemic is still at large, but for me New Year is really an amazing one to celebrate with my family.

               With focus on the Covid-19 virus, we are preoccupied with guidelines on how to celebrate New Year this year, with only members of the family who are living in the same household, to continue wearing face masks, observe social distancing, or to wash hands frequently.

               For me our New Year’s celebration should not be hampered by Covid! Let us spread the spirit of love, gift giving, and most of all caring to everyone. Sharing of blessings, eating foods which are my favorite of course, and most of all, give thanks to the Holy One, whom we all our life and all the things on where we live.

               For me, since New Year is also, a year to whisper my best wish for the coming New Year, especially for me and my family.

    I agree Sharinel, that New Year should not be hampered by this Covid-19, and continue to spread love whilst being safe and protected.

    The new normal is still something that is hard to adjust with. But despite the virus, as long as we follow the said protocols, we can safely spread love and joy to our loved ones. We all wish for this year to be a better one, and hopefully it will be. Stay safe and healthy as always!
