“The Importance of Education”
Officials in the Philippines confirmed in early June 2020 that schools would not reopen until a vaccine against COVID-19 became available. The decision leaves approximately 27 million children to continue their education via the internet. Education officials worry that two months is too short a period to extend a successful distance-learning model, especially when many children lack access to computer or the internet. For younger children, this adjustment in education style arrives at a crucial period in their schooling whey they start developing social skills, literacy, and numeracy.
Education is an opportunity for every individual in this world. But sometimes not always for everyone, especially to those who can not afford by their parents to send their child/children to school. Education is really a great weapon for every individual especially those who really want to learn and to be taught about things that each don’t know and to sharpen their knowledge on things in this world. In which they could apply and use it someday in their battle for their life.
Quality education is really important for every human being, either face to face or distance learning. With our situation of today, we could not really express very much our understanding on our subjects since we can not do such face to face classes. Due to the pandemic which they called it as COVID-19. Every student of any age are prohibited from going to school to attend the face to face classes; because it will really affect each and everyone because of the coronavirus. A virus that could kill and give an adverse effect to someone who got infected to it.
But the Department of Education had done their part in order for every student of any rank and age, pursued the online or what we called the modular learning of education. In here, we could not evaluate or attested that it is really called a quality education because, teachers are not behind their students to teach them of what is being discussed in every student’s lesson. Each student really do their part in order to pass and answer their modules, even into the extent that they committed ‘stress on their subject matter. How about those students who doesn’t have the “gadgets” to use? Are they left behind?
In order for them also to cope up with their lessons, they must have also the needed “gadgets”. Which they must use in order for them to know and to answer their modules. Because in this kind of learning process, you must know or have the knowledge on how to find and search things which could give “answers” on your lessons.
Thus, it won’t really be
considered as quality education if you don’t know on how to answer your lessons
and you will be left behind. But for me in my own opinion, it is really better
and to be called it as quality education if your mentor is always there to
assist you in order for you to gain knowledge not far behind of what you really
know; and to be considered it as a quality education during this COVID-19
Pandemic.
